Find the topics holding you back.

Revision for Years 7 to 11 in the subjects you actually take: maths, English and science, your languages, and GCSE options like Computer Science. Every question explains the method and why each wrong answer is wrong, so a mistake teaches you something.

Maths

Pythagoras, level 3 of 5

A right-angled triangle has short sides of 6 cm and 8 cm. How long is the longest side?

An example question. Nothing you pick here is saved.

120 topics. Each tile fills in as you practise.

Pick a subject, then tap a tile. This is an imagined Year 9 student, not a real one. See every topic.

Tap a tile to practise that topic: you will be asked to sign in first. Example only: an imagined Year 9 student, not a real one. The number top left of each tile is the level out of 5. A tile with a heavy dark border means the topic needs work.

Factorising quadratics

Level 1 of 5, needs work

Factorise x² + 5x + 6.

Which exam board?

Choose a board to see its papers for GCSE maths, English and combined science: how many, how long, and how much each is worth. Practice questions here are written in the style of AQA papers and follow the subject content every board teaches. We are not connected to any exam board.

How a topic levels up

  1. 1

    Practise one topic

Short rounds on a single topic from the exam specification, at the level you are working at.

  2. 2

    Read why

Each answer shows the method, and says why every wrong option is wrong, so a mistake teaches something.

  3. 3

    Watch it level up

The topic moves up when you get it right, and down when you do not. Parents see the same map.

Pick your year

Each page explains what you cover and which topics to practise first.

What is here, and what is not

Questions are written for this site and follow the AQA specification: they are GCSE-style, not AQA papers, and we are not connected to AQA. Other exam boards cover the same subject content, so practice still helps.
